Sorry for the lack of updates...

Hey, all -

Have been updating on Facebook and neglecting the blog.  My apologies to those not on Facebook.

We have done a great deal of work in the last two and a half months and are very nearly at the finish line.  We are planning one more editing session, just to tie up a couple of loose ends and then should be ready to render a final "director's cut", for lack of a better term.

I am eternally grateful to so many people, but especially to my Producer, Mark Foley, my editor, Shawn Hare; my photo contributors: The Day Family (and Amanda and Brianne's wedding photographers), Joe Arsenault, Dan Rinaldi & Eric Norberg, Curt Varone, Capt. Tom Kenney and my personal photographer, Fran Paliotta; my music contributors: Fran Paliotta, Michael R. Shipp and Patrick Vitagliano and The Bones - and the men and women of the Providence Fire Department.

It has been a long, long road and we have hit so many stumbling blocks and pitfalls, but I made a promise to make this happen.  I guess I can never be accused of not being determined and tenacious.  :-)

My thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement!

With much love,

Erin

Coming Along Nicely!

Hey, folks - a quick update.  We have had a couple of editing sessions and things are coming along very nicely.  I am quite happy with the progress and very thankful to Shawn Hare, our editor and Mark Foley, our producer, for their hard work.

We'll keep you posted!

"Street Stories" - WPRI Channel 12

Hello, All -

Tonight at 6:15 pm on WPRI Channel 12, Walt Buteau and John Villella's "Street Stories" will air a follow-up story about the documentary.  Well, it will air as long as there is no major, breaking news.  Let's hope.  :-)

The Project IS Still Alive and Well...

Hello, All -

I am so very sorry for the long absence.  For those of you who are not aware, shortly after my last post, my father's health began to decline sharply and quickly.  After several months of serious illness, he was hospitalized 4 times in the last few months of last year.  During that time, I also went back to work full time.  I am thankful that my father was still here to know that I had full time work and health benefits again.  Pop died on January 9th.  Three weeks later, my mother became very ill with serious heart ailments.  Luckily, they were treatable and she is now on her way to recovery.  It's been a very tough road, but I'm a very tough broad, so we're back on track.  :-)

I worked with my producer, Mark Foley and my editor, Shawn Hare, this afternoon and evening.  We got a LOT of work done - made some very big decisions about what to use and what to lose.  We are hoping that our schedules will continue to work well together and that we can get a final cut completed by early Fall.

Our friends, Walt and Johnny, from Channel 12's "Street Stories" will be airing a follow up piece about the film probably this Friday at 6:15pm.  Will update on that when I get confirmation.

Thank you all for your patience, kindness and understanding.  It has been a rough haul, but we are closer now than we have been to getting the film completed.

With much appreciation,

Erin
