The Project IS Still Alive and Well...

Hello, All -

I am so very sorry for the long absence.  For those of you who are not aware, shortly after my last post, my father's health began to decline sharply and quickly.  After several months of serious illness, he was hospitalized 4 times in the last few months of last year.  During that time, I also went back to work full time.  I am thankful that my father was still here to know that I had full time work and health benefits again.  Pop died on January 9th.  Three weeks later, my mother became very ill with serious heart ailments.  Luckily, they were treatable and she is now on her way to recovery.  It's been a very tough road, but I'm a very tough broad, so we're back on track.  :-)

I worked with my producer, Mark Foley and my editor, Shawn Hare, this afternoon and evening.  We got a LOT of work done - made some very big decisions about what to use and what to lose.  We are hoping that our schedules will continue to work well together and that we can get a final cut completed by early Fall.

Our friends, Walt and Johnny, from Channel 12's "Street Stories" will be airing a follow up piece about the film probably this Friday at 6:15pm.  Will update on that when I get confirmation.

Thank you all for your patience, kindness and understanding.  It has been a rough haul, but we are closer now than we have been to getting the film completed.

With much appreciation,

Erin

WAY Overdue Update...

Hey, all.  I'm sorry.  I really should have updated the status a long time ago.  Anyway, the team is secured and Blackrock Media is working as we speak on a rough cut of the film.  The footage had to be re-captured (luckily, that wasn't as bad as I thought).  Mark, Chris and I met earlier this week and now that we're all aware of the vision of the film, we can begin the process of getting it together.

I will be working on firming up the script, Mark will be working on a rough cut of the voice over and Chris on the film.

We hope to have a finished product by the end of the Summer or beginning of Fall.

I'll do my best to keep you all posted.  I'm just starting a new job, so things are a little hectic, but we're getting it done.  :-)

Post-Production

Hello, folks. Well, as you can see by the amount of time that has passed since my last post, it's been a long haul. I visit today, however, with awesome news!

Blackrock Media has officially been hired to edit the film. I will be working with Mark, the owner, over the next few weeks to begin setting up a schedule for editing and figuring out the details of how we will proceed into post-production.

I have no idea how long the process will take, but I hope to have this thing ready to roll very soon. Of course, we are still at the mercy of scheduling and synching the schedules of three people. So, I will keep you posted as we progress into our journey of completing the film.

Thanks to all for your encouragement and your patience. Stay tuned.

At the Gate...

Well, folks, it's official. I have secured an editing team. Blackrock Media will be editing the film. The process has been started, we just need to work out some details of time and a central location for editing, but post-production should begin very shortly. As soon as I have a timeline, I will post the information.

Thank you all for your interest, support and encouragement. I am very much looking forward to being able to get the film done and on the air!

Be well and stay safe, everyone.

Turns out I should have called this guy three years ago. I have some meetings to set up, some planning to do, but the proposal is definitely realistic and doable.

Stay tuned, folks... we're on our way!

No, I Haven't Disappeared...

Hello, all -

My apologies for not posting for so long. There have been many, many changes going on that forced me to leave the project on the back burner for a while. I will be contacting my editor and trying to set up some work time with him over the next few weeks to get this thing rolling. Once that's done, I will need to get some studio time to record the voice over. Upon the completion of the recording, we'll sync it up with the film and start hoofing it to the local television stations to get it some airtime.

So, fear not - I haven't abandoned the film. I have come to the conclusion that this thing will debut exactly when it is needed most. Everything happens for a reason, right?

Stay tuned, folks.
